                                   The Haunted Hotel

                 San Diego's Premier Haunted Attraction

The Haunted Hotel, located downtown in the Gaslamp District, is the longest running haunted house in San Diego. It was named by Haunt World Magazine as one of the top 13 haunted houses in America and has been featured in “America Haunts IV” on The Travel Channel in 2009.

This year, try to survive the "Walking Dead" dungeon, come face to face with the killer clowns on the subway car, and get a real life experience of the "Evil Dead" cellar.

The Haunted Hotel is packed full of spine tingling, heart pounding effects that are so real they will keep you screaming for your life as you try to find your way out.

WARNING:  All patrons enter at their own risk. Owners & sponsors are not responsible or liable for any harm incurred on the premises. This attraction contains high impact scares and strobe lights which may not be suitable for people with heart conditions or prone to seizures. Attraction may include the use of fog juice as well as spraying water. Sorry, NO pregnant women, infants, or children being carried will be allowed entry. Not recommended for children under 10

What time does the line start forming?
Early in the season, arriving anytime throughout the night is fine but the closer it gets to Halloween, the more crowded it tends to be so you may want to arrive a little earlier.

How long is the wait in line?
The line is usually around 30 minutes earlier in the month, but when it gets closer to Halloween ( and ON Halloween) that wait could be much longer. You can always buy your tickets online to avoid the ticket booth line which is usually the longest wait.

How long does it take to go through the haunted house?
That depends on many factors. First you must buy your tickets, then wait to enter the haunts. Once you enter, it will be roughly 15-20 minutes depending on how fast your group moves. The lines get longer the closer it gets to Halloween.

If I have already bought my ticket and I am in line when the house closes, will I get a chance to go through?
Yes, we will stop selling tickets at close time but the house will stay open until the last patron in the entrance line has gone through.

We also have an EMT on staff each night.

Can we be thrown out of the Hotel for any reason?
Yes. We do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind, alcohol, etc. We do not allow babies or children to be carried through. Smoking and alcohol is not allowed. We reserve the right to remove any patron from the event if we feel it is necessary.

Violation of these rules will usually bring a warning and then being asked to leave without a refund.

We've never had any serious injuries at any of our attractions in over 10 years of operation. Running is the main cause of minor injuries. Make sure to follow the rules and DON'T run and you should be fine!

When you flash your camera you're not only ruining other customers' experience but you're hurting the actors' eyes. Also, the fog used inside the attractions ruins flash photography.

Although no photography or videotaping is allowed inside (including nightshot), the monsters working outside will quite often pose for pictures.
